MAM programs are taught by professional artists who have 10-20 years of experience providing instruction and
guidance on a one-to-one basis. Our curriculum meets the National Standards for Visual Arts Education. And we make it fun and exciting for all.

Wk. 1 - July 5
Young Painters Club
Grades PreK – 1 and Grades 2 – 5
Registration Deadline: June 25
Roll up your sleeves and explore the bold colors, designs and concepts of the artwork of Chagall,
Miro, Matisse and others. Students at all age
levels will learn and/or improve basic drawing,
painting and observation abilities as they create
their own masterpieces in the style of the artists
they explore. Watercolor, tempura and craypas
will be used to produce works of mixed media
art in 2D and 3D. Students will have the ability to
view some of the artwork of the masters.

Disney and Kids
Grades PreK – 1, Deadline: July 2
Who is your favorite Disney character? Join us
as we use the stories and characters of Disney
to create our own world of art projects just right
for small hands and developing minds. We will also
take a look at of some of the artwork of Britto,
Slaughter and Pollock to see what stories we can invent.
Lots of hands on 3D designs, painting, and
drawing with markers and crayon.

Wk. 2 - July 12
The Somewhat Zany World of Art
Grades 2 – 5, Deadline: July 2
Let’s broaden our view of cartooning and art as we
look at the artistic works of Basquiat, Litchtenstein,
Warhol or Klee. Blending together graphic art, cartooning
and the conceptual artwork of modern artist,
we will explore creativity is expressed in all art forms.
A variety of mediums will be used.

Wk. 3 - July 19
Animals in Art
Grades PreK-1 and Grades 2 – 5, Deadline July 9
From Fairy tales to Piperberg and Beard to Picasso
students will expand their ability to draw and paint animals
in realistic and abstract form. We will look at
the art of animals in many habitats and using basic
art concepts and techniques the animal world will
come to life in our artwork.

Wk. 4 - July 26
Worlds of Art
Grades PreK-1 and Grades 2-5, Deadline July 16
We will journey the globe stopping long enough to
make masks from Mexico, kites from Japan, and recreate the festivals of North America and ‘the Islands’. Our artwork will explode with color and design and some will even fly. A variety of mediums will be used.
